Moderator Guidelines

- Moderators must have a Discord account or be willing to make one. Our Discord server will be the main source of communication.
- Communicate clearly with the rest of the team and provide assistance where needed

Contributor Guidelines

Contributors are welcome to apply to more than one position! Please note that, if accepted, you will only be accepted for one. Also, please make sure your links work! Any application with a broken or access denied link will be disqualified.POP! is a SFW zine. All samples must be SFW as well; any applications containing NSFW will be disqualified.

General Expectations

- All work created for this zine must be brand-new. Submitting pre-existing pieces is not allowed.
- Generative AI is strictly prohibited. If a contributor is found to be using it, they will be removed from the project.
- Contributors must have a Discord account or be willing to make one. Our Discord server will be the main source of communication.
- Contributors are not allowed to share any part of their work outside of the Discord server until the designated time period.
- Treat moderators and fellow contributors with respect and kindness!

Page Artist

Artists of all skill levels are welcome to apply! No previous zine experience is required. Your application will be graded on the style and quality of your pieces.As a page artist, you will create a fully colored single page or spread art (comprising two pages).Your application will require:
- 3 samples of your best work, in the style you would use for this zine. Ideally, we are looking for fully colored pieces.
- A portfolio with 5+ works. Google Drive works best, though any website or social media is allowed as long as your pieces can be viewed easily and clearly.
- Works featuring Honkai: Star Rail characters, especially those featured in this zine, are preferred, but not required.

Merch Artist

Artists of all skill levels are welcome to apply! No previous zine experience is required. Your application will be graded on the style and quality of your pieces.As a merch artist, you will create digital merchandise. Experience creating merch is not required for this role!Your application will require:
- 3 samples of your best work, in the style you would use for this zine. Ideally, we are looking for art that fits the style of the merchandise you want to create. For example, if you want to create social media icons and banners, we’d like to see character-focused art similar to that!
- A portfolio with 5+ works. Google Drive works best, though any website or social media is allowed as long as your pieces can be viewed easily and clearly.
- Works featuring Honkai: Star Rail characters, especially those featured in this zine, are preferred, but not required.

Writer

Writers of all skill levels are welcome to apply! No previous zine experience is required. Your application will be graded on the style and quality of your pieces.As a writer, you will create a full written work between 1,000 and 3,000 words. Alternative forms of writing, such as poems, travelogues, letters, and transcripts are welcome!Your application will require:
- 3 samples of your best work, in the style you would use for this zine. One sample must be a fully completed work between 1,000 and 3,000 words, with a hard upper limit of 3,500 words. Other samples can be excerpts from longer works.
- A portfolio with 5+ works. Google Drive works best, though any website or social media, including AO3, is allowed as long as your pieces can be viewed easily and clearly.
- Works featuring Honkai: Star Rail characters, especially those featured in this zine, are preferred, but not required.
